HALO LUNAR
Santiago Paredes's work is the amalgamation of several dissimilar yet complementary universes, revolving around the cult and utilitarian condition of everyday objects. His scenes are composed of multiple references, appropriations, and simulations in dialogue with the history of images.
His varied interests - Persian miniatures, Japanese prints, high fashion, and contemporary pop culture - create a visually uncertain universe, blurring the line between what is and what it represents. With a gesture towards equalizing their importance, where no hierarchies exist.
Each element within the exhibition acts as a minimal expression of meaning, accentuating the singular beauty of each object to enhance the ability to perceive new forms.
